Glossary
Beekeeping has a vocabulary all of its own, and Openbeehive adds a few terms
Hive types reference
When you create a hive in Openbeehive, you choose a type. This single value records the hive system you are running, which helps you keep frames, supers and spare parts compatible across your apiary.
Queen marking colours
Marking your queen is one of the small habits that makes beekeeping far easier. A tiny dot of colour on her thorax turns "where is she?" from a ten-minute hunt into a quick glance, and it tells you, at a stroke, how old she is.
Diseases & pests
Healthy colonies fend off most problems on their own. Your job is to keep them strong, well-fed and well-ventilated, then watch for the early signs of trouble so you can act before a small problem becomes a lost colony, or spreads to your neighbours.

Troubleshooting
Most issues with Openbeehive fall into a handful of categories: sync, local storage, the camera/QR scanner, or login. This page walks through each, with practical checks you can run yourself before reaching out for help.
